SPAM® Red Flannel Hash

Just as wearing red flannel is warm and comforting, eating our SPAM® Red Flannel hash is warm and comforting too. Especially since it's made with hearty, heavenly SPAM® Classic to put a spiced pork and ham twist on a comfort food favourite.


  • 1 (340g) can SPAM® Classic, diced
  • 500g jared/canned beets, drained and diced
  • 1 chopped medium onion
  • 4 medium potatoes, cooked and diced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil


  1. In large skillet, sauté onion in oil, stirring frequently until lightly browned.
  2. Add SPAM® Classic and potatoes; sauté for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Sprinkle with pepper and add beets, mixing together.
  4. Cover and reduce heat to low, cooking for 10 minutes.
  5. Uncover and cook for 5 minutes more.
